This project was divided into multiple phases, commencing with a full reconfiguration of the existing house layout, followed by a wrap-around extension to increase the overall floor area. The interior was inspired by 1920’s art-deco style, with an arts & crafts style approach and involved us working to balance elements of the traditional house with the modern extension. The scope of work included:
- An 85m2 wrap-around single-storey extension and double-storey addition to the side elevation, optimising the living space and kitchen area while adding a bedroom.
- Relocating the staircase and structural alterations to reconfigure the internal layout of the existing house.
- Creation of a new downstairs cloakroom, master ensuite, and family bathroom.
- Construction of an orangery-style extension featuring large glass roof lanterns and bifold Crittall-style doors.
- Full electrical rewiring, and installation of new plumbing and heating systems.
- Installation of new flooring and windows throughout the property.
- Complete redecoration and tiling as per the client’s brief
Key Challenges & Outcome:
The project was executed with precision and efficiency, ensuring the clients were able to move back into their home before Christmas. Careful project management and planning were essential in coordinating the work across two phases to complete the project successfully.
