Brill Place, London (AKA Grand Central Apartments)
We secured a dual contract with trusted client BHB Ltd to refurbish twelve apartments in central London after the building suffered significant leak damage due to soil vent pipe failure. Additionally, we were contracted to carry out multiple maintenance and small works to rectify a number of defects across the 22-storey tower complex consisting of 68 prime residential apartments.
The scope of work included:
- Making good & rectifying multiple defects over an 18 month period.
- Strip out & refurbishment of 12 apartments including drylining, plastering & installation of acoustic floor system.
- A specialist clean was carried out to eradicate contaminated areas.
- Carpentry and joinery, including kitchen install, wardrobes, door sets & timber engineered flooring.
- Reinstating bathrooms back to the original specification and finish including tanking systems.
- Full redecoration and tiling.
Key Challenges & Outcome:
This long-term project represents one of our largest contracts, which required careful balancing of our workforce between the extensive strip-out & refurbishment work and the on-going reactive maintenance and defects works.
